CANNABMED is an ICEERS program that is working to create a future where society as a whole has the opportunity to benefit from the potential of cannabis. With this goal, the program works to reduce the negative consequences associated with prohibitionist laws.
What we do
Education
We promote and share scientific evidence on the potential of medical cannabis. We raise awareness about the experiential reality of the diverse groups affected by prohibition.
Training
We promote education and discussion through events and media. These include public talks, videos, books, training seminars, and the CANNABMED Congress, a biannual conference about medical cannabis.
Community Development
We believe that drug policies should take into consideration the perspectives of civil society. We support the formation of interest groups made up of those most affected and their participation in dialogues around regulation.
We analyze the reality and needs of different groups (patients, activists, health professionals, etc.) and accompany them in their organizing processes in order to empower them to develop their own goals and strategies.
Political Advocacy
We educate political representatives and policy-makers, promoting the development of public policies that are evidence-based and stigma-free.
