Ricard Faura holds a PhD in Social Psychology and a master’s degree in Social Anthropology. He is a Bridge Weaver at ICEERS, advisor to the Indigenous Medicines Conservation Fund, and Associate Professor at the Open University of Catalonia (UOC) where he has been teaching for 20 years. Over the past few years, he has worked together with local and international communities to support biocultural conservation and the regeneration of indigenous medicines. Ricard has primarily focused on ayahuasca and iboga, their biocultural use and knowledge systems, as well as the living ecosystems that these plants inhabit.
